Fitness Planner & Routine

Friday, August 4, 2017

Hello all and welcome back to the blog! It's been a few months since I've posted but I'm back and ready to share something different and new with you guys. A few of my friends and I have recently decided to make a change for the better and get fit. With that being said, I have joined Herbalife nutrition and I've been having 1 healthy meal a day and 2 shakes a day. You also get snacks in between and I really love the program so far.

My fitness planner consists of the mini Happy Planner that I picked up from Michaels. I'm not really decorating it as much as I normally would because I am doing a lot of writing and keeping a pretty detailed food log inside. I have a few labels and washi tape here and there but for the most part it's not decorated.

The planner is full of cute inspirational quotes and is very easy to carry since it's a mini Happy Planner.

On the inside I just have a picture of one of my friends and I and on the inside pocket I have one of the adhesive pockets from Target filled with misc fitness stickers.

The stickers are from different shops. I haven't incorporated them into my planning yet but I'm still working on it!

The inside of the planner is filled with meal prep and water intake logs. It also has a place for exercise. I've been keeping track of everything I eat and drink and I also use the app called My Fitness Pal which tells me exactly how many calories I have eaten and have left to eat for that day. I am at a 1,200 calorie max and of course when I exercise I can have more calories rather than not. I also use the app called Map My Fitness which syncs with My Fitness Pal to keep track of distance traveled and calories burned.

Right now I am doing fast pace walks and will slowly incorporate cardio and running into my routine when I feel ready. Some of my favorite snack foods are:

Tuna
String Cheese
Quest Bars
Carrots
Hummus
Cauliflower
Grapes
Triscuits/Crackers
Laughing Cow Cheese
Oikos Yogurt

Overall making better choices when eating and even going for a walk a day will make you feel so much better! If you have any questions for me please don't hesitate to comment below.

How To Make Your Instagram Photos More Appealing

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Hey guys! Welcome back to the blog. Today I wanted to go over with you a question that I get ALL the time: how do you get your photos so bright? I wanted to do an in depth blog post about it so you guys know exactly how I do it.

First I want to tell you that having the best natural lighting is a great way to make your photos look better (even before editing, the more natural lighting the better!) I have my desk right by my window because I like to have natural lighting coming in.

Here is my folder of editing apps:

The two that I use for editing my Instagram photos are Afterlight and Phonto. Afterlight is how I brighten and enhance my photos, and Phonto is the app I use to put "FILOALLY" on each one. It's important to watermark your photos because people will try to steal your pictures without giving credit. I had someone put a photo of mine on "We heart it" and it was shared multiple times by people claiming it as their own. They didn't see the watermark, but a lot of other people did and let me know about it! Anyway, next I will be showing you the steps I take using Afterlight to enhance my photos.

Here is what the app looks like. First, I brighten the photo. If you make it too bright it doesn't look right, so make sure you find a happy medium when doing this. Second, I contrast the photo. It makes the photo look a little more sharp and it brightens it a little bit more. Third, I highlight the photo. Again, it just makes it look a little bit sharper and better. Sometimes I will change the temperature of the photo if it looks too orange or grey. And lastly, I will "saturate" the photo or make it a little bit more colorful. You also want to find a happy medium doing this as well because if you do too much, the picture will look off.

After I have done this, I use the phonto app to watermark my pictures. I like to make my watermark blend in with the photo, making it match angles and lines. This app has tons of different fonts and colors to choose from which is why I really like using it.

Here is a before and after:

As you can see, I didn't have good natural lighting when I took this because it was cloudy today. But I still managed to make it look better by enhancing it with afterlight.

I hope you enjoyed todays post and I hope I answered any questions you may have! Please comment below if there is anything I missed. Thanks for stopping by!

What's In My Bag

Saturday, January 7, 2017

Good afternoon ladies and welcome back to the blog! The focus of todays post is simply to show you what I keep inside my bag. I have had my eye on this bag for almost a year now,  and this Christmas I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase it. I'm so glad I did! The bag that I am using is the Henri Bendel Jetsetter Convertible Canvas Backpack! I was browsing YouTube one day and one of my most favorite accounts had this bag. I knew I had to have it because I loved the fact that you can wear it as a backpack. You can also wear it as a shoulder bag or carry it. It makes shopping so much easier! At the end of this post I will link everything mentioned!

The inside of the bag is this beautiful deep indigo color. I love the way it looks with the bag. Even with my bag being pretty full, this color still pops out!

First and foremost I have this cute holographic bag that I picked up at Forever 21. Inside, I keep:

♥ Makeup remover wipes
♥ Downy Wrinkle Remover
♥ A hairbrush/mirror
♥ Extra hair ties and bobby pins
♥ NYX Liquid Lipstick
♥ MAC Liquid Lipstick
♥ Victorias Secret lip gloss

Inside the bag (not in the pockets) I keep:

♥ My Kate Spade Wallet
♥ Coach sunglasses
♥ Blue Phonic bluetooth wireless headphones
♥ Purell hand wipes
♥ Bath & Body Works Cocktail Dress spray

Inside the little pouch on the side, I keep:

♥ Pens
♥ Marc Jacobs Daisy Roller Perfume
♥ Bath & Body Works "Magic in the air" hand lotion
♥ NYX Lip Butter Gloss
♥ MAC Ariana Grande gloss

Inside the zipper pouch, I keep:

♥ Kleenex tissues
♥ Tic Tacs and my favorite gum
♥ Check book
♥ Medication (not pictured)

And lastly, I keep my hand sanitizer attached to the little metal loop by the zipper. I use the scent "Japanese Cherry Blossom" from Bath & Body Works.

Thank you guys for taking the time to read my post. If you have your eye on this bag, make sure you check out the Henri Bendel Website occasionally because they are ALWAYS having amazing sales! Below are the links to items mentioned:

Foxy Fix: A Guide

Wednesday, January 4, 2017

Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today's post is going to be a little bit longer, but I wanted to show you all about my Foxy Fix Travelers Notebooks. How to get started, where to find accessories, and to answer any questions you may of had for me.

First and foremost, I want to tell you about the Foxy Fix Website! It's super easy to order and everything is laid out for you. There are items that are under a tab called "ready to ship" and there is also a tab called "Foxy Couture" where you can completely customize your Foxy Travelers Notebook. I have ordered from both options and my notebooks are absolutely beautiful. I have ordered size 1 and size 2 Foxy's with the "wide" option to fit more stuff inside. The size 1 is considered a passport size, and the size 2 is considered pocket size. They are ALMOST the same size, but the size 2 is just a hair bigger. I would recommend joining the Foxy Fix Facebook group here:

Tiffany is very helpful at answering any questions you may have and there are updated constantly being posted. They are currently re doing their business model to make things ship out faster, so all of the information about that can be found in this group as well!

Here is a photo of my collection:

From left to right:

♥ Size 2 wide moccasin couture in the color sandstone
♥ Size 2 wide rowena couture
♥ Size 1 wide sugar couture in the color icing
♥ Size 1 wide wanderlust couture in butterscotch
♥ Size 2 wide wanderlust couture in licorice

The rowena and the 2 wanderlust planners were ordered from the "ready to ship" tab and the rest are Foxy Couture. Right now I am using my moccasin couture in the color sandstone! It is the first Foxy I ordered with a pocket on the inside. Each couture has different leather, so it's fun to compare the leathers as you grow your collection!

I like to keep my Foxy pretty full and chunky! I know some people don't prefer that which is totally fine! I just wanted to show you guys some accessories and shops that I love to use in my planner.

Today bookmark: AshyLeighDesigns
Charms: XoCarolynDesigns on Instagram
Ribbon Clip: TheTasselPrincess on Instagram
Clear zip pouch: Amazon
Notebooks: Yellow Paper House and Target
Custom dashboards: Bullfrogs and Fireflys
Sticker Notebook: Nicole Hutch Designs
Felt Pouch: Lyra And Co

You can also look up tutorials on YouTube for how to make your own dashboards! I love going to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and finding beautiful paper to create with. All you do is measure two square pieces to size, lay them on your laminating pouch with a little bit of space in between, laminate and trim around! You want to leave a little bit of room in between the papers so it can go around the elastics without bending. But again, check YouTube for a travelers notebook dashboard tutorial!

I also wanted to give you guys a list of great Instagram and YouTube accounts to follow for Foxy Fix inspiration! The last video I uploaded can be found here! Please let me know if you have any questions about where something is from. I plan on uploading a newer setup soon since I have new 2017 inserts arriving today!
